It is the most common, there is no exact cause for the first type, but most of the infected people have their immune system destroyed by a defect in the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. There is no cure for type 1 diabetes in children, but the environment and daily and healthy habits can play a role in improving the condition.

It is associated with family history compared to the first type, and studies have shown that genes play a major role in the development of this type of diabetes.

- Continuous sports activities, especially after a meal rich in carbohydrates

When should a child take insulin?
Rapid-acting insulin a quarter of an hour before a meal, and regular or short-acting insulin taken just before a meal.
